How did you end up in your line of business?
Believe it or not, I had an open spot on my schedule my sophomore year and my mother, who’s also a CPA, suggested I try an intro to accounting course. I really enjoyed the class and the professor did a great job teaching us about the profession. The rest is history.
How did you first get involved with ACG Boston?
Several years back, I started attending the DealMakers Breakfast meetings with some of the partners in my firm. As I started to meet folks at the events, I was introduced to the Deal Hunters group and got involved with that committee for a couple years before being nominated to the Board.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
You are in the driver’s seat of your career. Regardless of what anyone tells you, if you don’t have your hands on the wheel, you are going to end up off course.
What is something people don’t know about you?
I was introduced to the world of the obstacle/mud racing this summer and have competed in 2 races since then, and am currently getting ready for the next one.
What is your most satisfying professional accomplishment?
About 9 years ago I established a career plan for myself and am happy to report I have hit every milestone to date, and anticipate hitting the final one soon. Looks like it may be time to plan out the next 10 years.
