How did you end up in your line of business?
My background is fairly traditional but my current role is somewhat unique. I am a lawyer/CPA from Australia that worked for a number of large law firms and Big 4-6 firms most recently as a Tax Partner at Ernst & Young in Sydney , Australia. In mid-2000’s, I moved to China to undertake some private business and ended up staying for 10 years- 5 years in Beijing, and 5 years in Shanghai. The stint in Shanghai was as the head of Dezan Shira’s Shanghai office assisting USA & European businesses establish their Chinese operations and operate those businesses with outsourced accounting, tax and other compliance services. I recently relocated from Shanghai to Boston as the head of Dezan Shira & Associates’ North American office to work more closely with our existing clients and partners in North America and develop new business and new partnerships.
We work very closely with Kahn Litwin & Renza CPA a large New England CPA firm with offices in Boston, Waltham and Providence.
